Genesis Life Care ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Genesis Life Care mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and organisational role when you create an account or are invited by your organisation's administrator.
- Client Care Data: Health records, vitals, medical notes, prescriptions, dietary information, and other care-related data entered by authorised care staff on behalf of residents or clients. This data is owned by the care facility and processed on their behalf.
- Operational Data: Attendance records, roster schedules, leave requests, financial transactions, inventory records, and other business data entered by authorised staff.
- Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, and interaction logs (screens visited, features used) to improve the App's performance and usability.
- Device Information: Device identifiers, push notification tokens, and crash reports for troubleshooting purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's features and services.
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access controls.
- Process and store care records on behalf of your organisation.
- Generate reports, analytics, and audit trails as requested by authorised administrators.
- Send notifications related to care alerts, approvals, and system updates.
- Improve and personalise the App experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider with SOC 2 Type II compliance. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We implement role-based access controls within the App so that users only see data relevant to their role and assigned care centre.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With your organisation: Care facilities and their administrators have access to data entered within their organisation as part of normal operations.
- Service providers: We use third-party services (cloud hosting, analytics) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, clients, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as your organisation's account is active or as needed to provide services. Care records are retained in accordance with applicable healthcare record retention regulations. When an organisation terminates their account, we will delete or anonymise all associated data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Request a portable copy of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App may integrate with third-party services including but not limited to WhatsApp Business API, Google Ads, and Meta Ads for communication and marketing features. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
