Support through your journey to recovery

If you are researching for a facility to assist you through the recovery phase. What you will need is a facility and personnel that’s trained to recognize post-surgical complications. This is particularly true for life threatening complications.

Our post-op care services begins with a comprehensive review by our medical team. This is to understand the nature of the surgical intervention. With this, our team gets to work developing a plan that looks into the following:

Nutrition – Design a meal plan that takes into account the patients ability to intake all the food groups and plan supplemental nutrition if needed.

Wound care – Ensure that necessary equipment, and resources are available for optimal wound care

Physical rehabilitation – Develop a rehabilitation regiment that is best suited to ensure recovery. This is undertaken by our physiotherapists in coordination with the surgical team.

Finally, we ensure that the room, and surrounding is comfortable and conducive for recovery.

What they say about us

5/5

Madam Nagaletchumi Nagalingam

We were previously told to brace ourselves for the inevitable as Amma was going downhill. However, within one week of Amma’s stay here at Genesis, we are thrilled with the 180-degree change in her. She is alert, vibrant, more interactive, coherent in speech and with improved appetite…

Corey Loke-Fernandez

The medical personnel and care staff at Genesis Life Centre did so much for my 80 year old dad when he was a resident there. From being bed ridden and totally dependent, they nursed and rehabilitated and care for him until he is able to take care of himself. All these in just a few month.

Specialised care

Key focus areas in post-op care

We promote a conducive environment that facilitates the recovery process

When choosing a facility to support you in your post-op recovery, it is also important to ask if the facility in question has the required resources and personnel to support you in the event of a medical emergency. This is particularly important if the surgery you are about to undertake is a major operation with the potential to develop complications. It is also equally important to consider the distance from the said facility to your favored hospital should a medical emergency arise.

Physical rehab

The decision for intensive rehabilitation in the period that immediately follows an acute stroke can restore most of the neurological deficit sustained in a stroke

Nutrition

We are fast becoming the leading dementia care facility in Malaysia with a knowledge base that's continually growing to include best practices from within the industry

Wound care
